No matter what the feelings are or the name that you give them, know that you are allowed the whole gamut of them and that you are loved and accepted along with your feelings.

Leave it to you to just jump right in - no taking it slowly, meeting one or two folks at a time... lol

But, Macy's right - as someone who is also from an extremely large family - keeping it completely organized doesn't matter (although I do realize that's part of who you and Heather are!) - what matters is what goes forward. YOu will have a blast, make new connections - some folks you'll have lots in common with, some not so much. Enjoy the new experiences!!

Miss ya both lots!

I love family reunions. And even though my parents are pretty good about keeping in touch with their extended families, combined they have over 100 first cousins, not all still living. I have a huge family that is never entirely together no matter how hard we all try, but there is so much affection and love and something else you get only from being together. And don't worry too much about keeping the family tree organized, because the only part that matters is that there is a connection.

Very, very nicely done. I like the flow and the voice in it! It was a very wonderful week and a beautiful day for everyone--even if there was a tear in my eye!

Great post. Thxs for sharing. Glad to read that you guys found "the path" and self awareness is very powerful. So awesome that you guys are exploring this together. This is a great gift. Learn about "self" and forget about "self" as Da Buddha showed us.

This is a great post. Gets my mind going in many directions. My own growth process over the past year has been a challenging one to say the least. The point I feel inclined to make is regarding the sense of self, self-love, self-worth, perception of wholeness etc. What I have come to understand is that any process which equates feelings about the self with anything external to my own body and mind is an unhealthy one. That is to say any feelings of self worth I have which are conditional on the reaction of others, or on my perceived success or failure within a social environment, are unhealthy and doomed to fail.

To view this idea through a religious lens - which I have been trying to do lately - God made me whole, and whole I am. I need not consume, compete, or condition myself to understand or achieve this.

To apply this concept to relationships, if I don't achieve my self-worth and love internally, I will seek it from others. To say that another way, I will take it from others. With all the clever and manipulative capabilities of my human mind.

Thanks for writing me that letter. It really did make a difference.

I'm not sure who took who! I think it was a jointly coordinated ride... I'm hoping that we can establish an ongoing weekly ride until conditions are too icy to be safe.

Thanks for the comments about the site - it's a nice way that I can share my thoughts with others, and the whole "adventures" title allows me free license to post anything I do (whereas our wedding blog was mostly just about the whole wedding topic... I guess I should have thought of that before I built that one up!)
